Hi Adrian--

Here are the corrections to the article "Properties, Part 1:
Remarkable Properties of Simplest Voting System". With these
corrections, that article will be perfecty right:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.

In the article's 2nd paragraph, in that paragraph's 1st sentence,

...replace "Approval is, in its worst case," with "Approval's worst case"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.

Under the heading "1. Kinds of Properties:",

...under the sub-heading "c) Social Optimizations:"

the 8th word should replace "as" with "is".

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.

Under the heading "2. List of Some Pass/Fail Criteria That Will Be
Used (Without Definitions):",

Replace:

"Plurality
Critrerion"

...with "Plurality Criterion" (all one line)

And, in the list-entry "Mono-Add-Plum", add a "p" to the end, to make
it "Mono-Add-Plump".

(In Australia, to "plump" means to rank only one candidate.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.

Under the heading "3. Cast of Characters:...",

Delete the list entries below "Majority-Judgment"

(I decided that, for clarity, I'll only cover the voting-systems
mentioned in the Declaration)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5.

Under the heading "4. Methods, with Definitions, Properties,
Criterion-Compliances, and Criterion-Failures:",

...a few paragraphs down, where it says, "Definition of Score",

...add a 2nd sentence:

"The winner is the candidate with the highest sum of ratings."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6.

A few paragraphs down from there, where it says "Definition of
Favorite-Betrayal Criterion (FBC):",

Can I replace that definition with something more clearly worded?
Could the following definition be pasted in, to replace the existing
definition?:

To vote a candidate at top means to not vote anyone over him/her.

The voter should be allowed to vote at top as many candidates as s/he wishes to.

If the winner is one of your top-voted candidates, then, if you move
an additional candidate to top, that shouldn't change the winner to a
candidate not then voted at top on your ballot.

[end of Favorite-Betrayal Criterion definition]

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7.

Farther down, below the drawing of Obama and Romney,

...under the heading "Social Optimizations of Approval and Score:",

...in the last paragraph under that heading,

...in the middle line of that paragraph, beginning "(when optimally-voted...",

Replace "an amount" with "amounts".

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8.

Beginning near the bottom of the section headed "Approval's Ease of
Impmentation",
and continuing down to the heading "Independence from Irrelevant
Alternatives Criterion",

...my article is over-written by other text.
