Actually, for methods in which a rank-order ballot (perhaps with equalities)
is wanted, it is bad to use a -5 to +5 scale because if more than 11
candidates, that forces equalities, while if fewer, it makes the voter think
the scale matters when it does not.  So therefore, electowidget should employ
an N-slot scale for N-candidate elections.

However, for range voting that would be wrong, and an 0-99 scale (say) seems wanted.
