How about using Mike's AERLO feature with MinMax opposing votes?

MinMax (opp) is a method in which it is natural to allow equal rankings
for first place, and satisfies the FBC when equal top rankings are
allowed, since ranking Favorite below Compromise doesn't help Compromise
any more than ranking Favorite equal to Compromise does already.

The AERLO option would allow the voter to submit a complete ranking with
low risk of regret.
