I think I've found the cause of the "mailer error 14" messages people have been
receiving.  Catmail was set to timeout after 2 minutes, and judging by the fact
that it takes 5 mintues sometimes to get even a login: prompt on mail, I'm
pretty sure this is the problem.  I set the timeout to 3600 seconds (1 hour),
if this doesn't help things (we should know within about a day, please let me
know if anyone gets any more mailer errors) then I'll probably just rewrite
catmail from scratch.  The new catmail appears to be working better than the
old, at least postmaster isn't geting anymore mailer error 14 bounces.  Catmail
was recompiled last night, so anything that may have come back before about 2am
was from the old catmail.
