I don't think all the assumptions in Warren's BR figures are perfect
either. It came up previously that the figures for strategic plurality
assume that everyone votes for one of two candidates, but that these
candidates are randomly picked from the set of all candidates regarding
their utility. You might think that it is a valid assumption that the top
two candidates are no better than average among all the candidates, but if
publicity of BR figures increased and they were used in debates to a wider
audience, people will look at the assumptions made, and I don't think
people will accept that assumption.
