I wasn't claiming to post a definition of resonance. My point was just
that resonance is about a frequency, not about the presence of a
restoring-force, as Richard said or implied. Richard was confused
about that distinction.

For a definition, resonance is a condition achieved when the frequency
of an oscillatory driving force closely matches the natural frequence
of the physical system that it is driving.
