ps. OK, perhaps one minor point. You mention the declaration possibly being
important if it gets signatures from the experts in the field. I've mostly
given up on Brams, Balinski, Laraki, and even Schulze (Though Markus, I
still can't say I understand your reasoning). Smith has signed (thanks
Warren), but he doesn't have the influence he deserves in the field. I
still have high hopes for Arrow, though my tactics for getting him to sign
are slower-moving (my mother is also a Stanford emeritus of similar
prestige, but due to travel she won't be getting me an introduction until
next year).
