A "protection-level" is a ballot status such that if a majority of the voters don't give that status
to any candidate outside of set S, and if there is at least one candidate in S who is given that status
by everyone in that majority of voters, then the winner must come from S.

Three-Protection-Levels (3P):
The method provides two protection-levels
[end of 3P definition]
(The "3" in "3P" refers to the fact that the method has 3 status-levels, including the one
below the two protection-levels referred to in the definition)
Unlimited Protection-Levels (UP)
The method allows as many protection-levels as the number of candidates minus one.
[end of UP definition]
MTA, MCA, SMDTR, IBIFA, and MDDA meet 3P. Their two protection levels are: 1)Top-rated or top-ranked; and 2)rated or ranked.
(In 3-slot methods, I assume that bottom-rating a candidate is done by not rating the candidate)
ABucklin (ER-Bucklin(whole)) and MMD,ABucklin meet UP.
MDDA, MDDTR, and MDD,ABucklin meet SFC.
