i dunno, licking wounds tonight reminds me of December 12, 2000 and  
this little snippet of old news:

maybe it's true and Goebbel's was right.  if you repeat a lie often  
enough it evolves from outright falsehood to plausible notion and  
eventually to the gospel truth.
