It has a certain appeal when searching for majoritarian methods. It is 
somewhat similar to Steve Eppley's "Immunity from 2nd place complaints" 
which says that after removing the winner, the new winner must be one 
who was beaten by the original winner.

One of the argueably best majoritarian methods, DMC, fulfils your 
criterion, while most other good majoritarian methods (like Beatpath, 
Ranked Pairs, wv-River) fail it.

So, thank you for providing yet another argument for DMC!
