I wrote to Mike Ossipoff (19 March 2005):

Mike Ossipoff wrote to me (20 March 2005):

I wrote to Mike Ossipoff (20 March 2005):

Mike Ossipoff wrote to me (21 March 2005):

Could someone please confirm/refute Mike Ossipoff's
claim that the EM mailing list already existed in 1994
and that Mike "introduced and proposed wv on EM in 1994"?

Thus, when I interpret Rob correctly then EM started in 1996.
