Approval:

(Candidates listed in order of Approval score)

Candidate Votes Mean rating ( also is percent of voters who voted for
candidate)

Nader 9 1.000
Kucinich 8 .888
Camejo 5 .555
Chomsky 5 .555

Below Camejo & Chomsky there were many tied candidates, as can be expected
in an Approval balloting with only 9 voters. So I didn't list those large
and diverse ties, and that's why I list only the top 4 Approval scores.

CR:

(Candidates listed in order of CR score)

Candidate Mean rating

Nader 91.625
Camejo 71
Kucinich 67.75
Chomsky 65.25
Sanders 58.75
Livingstone 58.714
McKinney 57.5
Zinn 53.75
Sharpton 51.375
Goodman 42.25
Hightower 41.5

I couldn't find my latest ballot in the archives, so it was necessary for me
to rewrite my ballot. Of course it would be impossible to write it the same
way as the previous one, but I've emphasized that people should be able to
change their ballot whenever they want to, till the count.

Of course events and things I've read changed my ballot some.

Joe: As you specified, candidates to whom you gave your top 3 ratings
received Approval votes from you. Because your ratings were from 0 to 4, I
multilplied your ratings by 25, for use in this 0 to 100 count.

Likewise, I followed others voters' instructions about what rating is their
approval cutoff.

James A: Because you didn't rate Livingstone, I determined his average
rating from the other ballots.
That's why Livingstone's mean rating isn't divisible by 1/8. Eight people
voted CR ratings.

In case anyone wants to do a CR count, my final ratings are:

Nader, Camejo, Livingstone: 100
Mckinney, Zinn, Daniels, LaDuke: 95
Hightower & Sanders 75
Millie Howard: 20
Chomsky: 11
Kucinich & Goodman: 10
Moyers & Dean: 7
Other Democrats and anyone not explicitly rated: 6
Republicans (except Bush), and Lieberman: 5
Falwell: 2
Other Libertarians: 1
Bush: 0

I differently ranked some candidates whom I rated equally. If anyone is
going to do a Condorcet count, this is my ranking:

1. Nader, Camejo, & Livingstone
2. McKinney
3. Zinn
4. Laduke
5. Daniels
6.Hightower & Sanders
7. Millie Howard
8. Chomsky
9. Kucinich
10. Goodman
11. Moyers & Dean
12. Other Democrats
13. Anyone not explicitly ranked
14. Republicans (other than Bush), and Lieberman
15. Falwell
16. Other Libertarians
17. Bush

In case anyone is going to do an Approval count, I give Approval votes to
everyone whom I rate at 95 or 100.

I rated and ranked most of the Libertarians low because some Libertarians
are just all-the-way Bush supporters, and aren't libertarian at all. I don't
know the Libertarian candidates enough to know who the exceptions are.
Millie Howard sounded better than the others, from her website.

Chomsky would have overtaken Camejo and Kucinich in the CR count if I'd
given him a high enough rating, and if everyone else voted as they did. But
that would have required a higher rating than I gave to him in any of my
previous ballots.

Bucklin With AERLO:

Nader won, in the first round, with 1st choice ranking from more than half
of the voters.

Buckliln with AERLO can be considered an enhanced Approval: When a ballot's
AERLO line is placed at its Approval cutoff, and the ballots counted by
Buckliln with AERLO, the voter is protecting all of his Approval set
candidates just as surely as if he ranked them all in 1st place and didn't
rank anyone else. So, even though no one intended their ranking for a
Bucklin count, the Buckliln with AERLO result clearly can only improve on
the Approval result, if it gives a different result. So, even though no one
voted for the purpose of a Bucklin count, it still seems meaningful to
report the Bucklin with AERLO count, as an enhanced Approval count.

I prefer Condorcet wv to Bucklin with AERLO, and, because we all prefer
Condorcet, Bucklin isn't considered a public proposal. But it could be of
value when a long ballot must be handcounted. For instance, I've reported a
Bucklin with AERLO result, but only a tentative Condorcet result. But I'm
pretty sure that the tentative Condorcet result (Nader won) is the correct
Condorcet result.
