Eric do you really mean that? Group preference is a term open to very wide
interpretation.
If your sole criteria is "does the method find the group preference?" Why do
you prefer Condorcet to Borda counts?"

A is the Condorcet winner, B some people would argue ( though not me ), is
the most generally preferred candidate ( A=202, B=235, C=163 ).
