The voters were not choosing to participate in pairwise comparisons between 
each pair of candidates. They were TRYING to express their prefences. There was 
no "contest between B & A". There was an election that involved A, B, and C.

Again, there was no contest between B & C.

If 70 of 105 voters prefer somebody other than B. I cannot see why anyone 
would claim B has "majority" support.
