I can't say for certain, but my guess would be that they're identical, only
because this method seems intuitive, and I was just trying to program any
method I could come up with.

I wasn't trying to propose a serious new method.  I was actually expecting
some kind of ridicule and indignation.  I'd be happy to learn the method had
already been devised.
