In so far as the latest version of Cloneproof
SSD is identical to one of my favorite methods
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/election-methods-list/message/2291)
there is no real need for me to introduce new arguments.

I prefer the term "Tideman method" to "Ranked Pairs". I have made
the experience that when one uses a term that describes a heuristic
or an algorithm then there are always many people who mistakenly
believe that they have to agree to the name giving heuristic to
consider this method meaningfull or that they have to use the
name giving algorithm when they want to promote this method. On the
other side, the term "Tideman method" is neither euphemistic nor
pejorative. And in so far as Mr Tideman hasn't yet proposed more
than one single-winner election method, there is also no need to
use the term "Ranked Pairs" instead of "Tideman method".
