Alright, here's the example modified for those who believe in absolute
utilities:

45 A(100) B(60) C(20)
30 B(100) C(60) A(20)
25 C(100) A(60) B(20)
---
D- Then, again, as usual, which group of voters is NOT going to get its first
choice elected ---- noting also, as usual, that 1st > 2nd, 2nd > 3rd, 3rd >
4th, etc. ??? See my Contingent YES posting. A later choice is only made
if an earlier choice is not effective.

If votes are *randomly* removed, then guess which choice will get eliminated
???

1st plus 2nd choices

A 45 (100) + 25 (60) = 70 ( > 50)
B 30 (100) + 45 (60) = 75 ( > 50)
C 25 (100) + 30 (60) = 55 ( > 50)

Intensity votes have their limits.

501 A (51) > 499 B (100)

Sorry majority rule (even if the bare majority choice is very mediocre).

Meanwhile, back on Mother Earth, I highly doubt that Mr. Bush and/or Mr. bin
Laden are exactly thinking daily about majority rule (and various
tiebreakers).
