I reply:

If you write to "election-methods-list-request, at the same domain
as the one you wrote to when you wrote to the list,
and say "unsubscribe" as your message (or subject?), then you'll
unsubscribe yourself. I'm not sure if it should be in the
message or the subject, so why not say it both places. Or maybe the
list-owner can unsubscribe you, but why not try it yourself. Good luck.
