The obvious range in *absolute* intensity is plus 100 percent to minus 100
percent -- a 200 percent range.
An intensity points method would seem to be dependent on the number of
voters. Examples--
For 51 voters to beat 50 voters voting at 100 percent, the 51 voters would
have to average 5000/51 or 98.04.
For 51 voters to beat 49 voters voting at 100 percent, the 51 voters would
have to average 4900/51 or 96.08.
Thus, the tendency would seem to be to vote at the extremes, +100 or -100
especially in close races.
