Let me take this opportunity to assure Demorep that Condorcet's method
will always elect a majority winner. So will lots of methods, if people
vote sincerely--but there's the catch: Methods that require
defensive strategy don't let people vote sincerely, and majority
candidates can therefore lose in Plurality, MPV, Copeland, and
in Demorep's votes-for method.
Because Condorcet gets rid of need for defensive strategy &
lets people vote sincerely, Condorcet is the method that
does the best job of electing the candidate who is lthe
favorite of a majority.
