Good Afternoon, Steve

The press denigrates those unable to form large coalitions as fringe or
radical groups, drowning their voices. Yet, their ideas can not be
judged good or bad until they are considered rationally. That is not
possible in a world dominated by media manipulation. Ideas each of us
would weigh carefully, if presented to us individually, become anathema
to the public when disparaged by opinion-makers.

In the face of that circumstance, which will not change, we must raise
people capable of weighing ideas from a public perspective to positions
of leadership in our government. That means we must examine candidates
more carefully; a capability denied us by mass-merchandising electoral
methods.

Fred
