Linfinity is otherwise known as the maximum absolute value.
Sometimes called the "max norm."

I agree my writing was not optimally wonderful, but I thought it
is important to say the best strategy, and it seemed to me the
way to convince yourself it IS the best strategy, is to
think about it without the runoff, then realize adding the runoff
does not change it  (strategywise).
