I disagree. One of the best ways to learn is to make mistakes in public. 
Not everyone, however, seems to be capable of taking advantage of what ensues.

To write for the Election Methods list requires no expertise or credential, 
but, should we venture to write here, we can expect to find others who will 
criticize what we write, and sometimes us as well. It is an opportunity.

In my opinion, however, Robert's Rules is only of peripheral interest on 
this list.
