I reply:

In 3-candidate Approval election, voters whose favorite is the middle 
candidate shouldn't vote for anyone else. If one of the other 2 has a 1st 
choice majority, then it doesn't matter what the middle voters do. 
Otherwise, Middle is the CW, and the extreme voters need Middle more than 
Middle's voters need the extreme candidates. And it would be understood that 
if Middle is CW, then s/he is the rightful winner, leading everyone to 
expect that the Middle voters won't vote for an extreme candidate.
