My apologies to Mike.

I thought he was saying he WANTED the name "Keep Unnullified Defeats"

Chalk one down against my "Reading Comprehension" marks.

Josh said:

Dear Mike,
I, recently, through no fault of my own, happened across a member of
the "public." I say,
what a bunch they are, with all their little ideas about things, and their
little wants.

I reply:

Could you be more specific about what you mean? Which of the public's wants
don't you like, and which of their ideas don't you like?

The concern in electoral reform is to make it possible for people
to vote more sincerely, and not have to abandon what they really
want from the political system, and not have to give top status on
their ballot to a compromise candidate whom they don't want.

There's a saying: "It's better to vote for what you want and not get
it than to vote for what you don't want and get it."

Keep that in mind, Josh, next time you're about to vote Democrat.

Josh continued:

But I'm sure you, Mike, must have met some of this same "sort,"

I reply:

Without more information about the sort that you met, it isn't
possible to say whether or not I've met any like that.

Josh continued:

probably as part of your efforts to be kind to the poor, you actually have
run into some.

How do I know this, Mike? Well, you suggested
"Keep-Unnullified-Defeats" for them.

I reply:

Josh, I'm going to be frank with you here: I have no idea what you're
trying to say in your posting.

Josh continued:

-From the "Associated Stateside Sympathizers for Keep It Simple, Stupid."

I reply:

Are you trying to say there that RP is too complicated? RP has a
remarkably brief & simple definition, for a method with so many
desirable properties. Maybe you're one of those who believe that IRV
is the only method that's simple enough.

Or maybe you're trying to say that the name that I posted for RP
isn't simple enough. I don't know if it is; I did suggest, though,
that I didn't consider it to probably be a good name for RP.

Josh, I suggest that, before posting, especially if you've been
drinking, you save your message, maybe printing it out, and then
decide, the next day whether or not you want to print it.

Mike Ossipoff
