I reply:

Well, most people here are at least familiar with the spelling
of reductio ad absurdum ;-)

Apparently not only does Anthony not know what it means, but he
also can't spell it.

By the way, when I explained its meaning to Anthony, all that need
have been said is: A disproving of a proposition by demonstrating
that it logically implies something known to be false. I hope that's
helpful to you, Anthony.
