Thanks for mentioning that--My "Single Winner Methods" topic, I forgot
to clarify, is about which single-winner voting system is the
best public proposal--as if we were voting on which method to
base a public initiative on. So my proposal covers the topic that
you suggest.

I'm sorry--I've already posted the ballot, or I'd add that to it.
I don't know when you posted this message, so let's say that
"Criteria" can be added by anyone as a "write-in" alternative.

I'd like to comment on that question though. All the progressive voters
I talk to are very concerned about the lesser-of-2-evils problem.
Most everyone who wants a better voting system considers the
lesser-of-2-evils problem their main motivation for wanting a better voting
system.
The Nader/Gore situation in 2000 dramatically demonstrates that problem,
and people's concern about it.

Majority rule has long been a nearly universally held standard.

So I suggest that those 2 standards are the ones that meet your
requirement. Criteria that meet your requirement would be criteria that
measure for those standards, as do my (and Steve's) defensive strategy
criteria, criteria that are best met by Condorcet & Approval.

I'm going to designate Cloneproof SSD as my designated method, because
Condorcet versions will do the best job of placing one's Approval
cutoff point accurately, rather than missing the CW or the best
compromise you can get.
