For new EM readers (and perhaps even old EM readers who can still learn
something)--

The 3 Matrices

1. Absolute Votes Matrix (for each choice)

Variations

A. YES NO
B. +100 percent to -100 percent (for folks with negative math skills)
C. 100 percent to 0 percent (for folks without negative math
skills)
D. A scale based on the number of choices. Example 5 choices. Each choice
might get a 5 to 1 value.
E. A 1 or 0 scale (simple Approval).

2. Relative Votes Head to Head Matrix

        A B C D etc.
A x A/B A/C A/D
B B/A x B/C B/D
C C/A C/B x C/D
D D/A D/B D/C x
etc.

Each B/C type entry shows the number of voters who relatively rank the top
choice over the bottom choice using relative Number Votes (1, 2, etc.)

The matrix can be redone by subtracting the smaller amount from the
corresponding larger amount. B/C = 45, C/B = 55, C/B (net) 10

3. Relative Place Votes Table
              Place
         1 2 3 4 etc

A A1 A2 A3 A4
B B1 B2 B3 B4
C C1 C2 C3 C4
D D1 D2 D3 D4
etc.
Totals

Each entry (such as D2) is the number of relative Number Votes for such
choice in such place.

-------
Various *strange* things start happening with 3 or more choices in B. and C.
especially.

Example- In the head to head matrix (2.) a choice may or may not beat each
other choice and a choice may or may not be beaten by each other choice.

These *strange* possibilities result in the various executive/judicial and
legislative body election methods for single or multiple winners.

Are there any more matrices (with their possibilities) floating around ???

How many *average* politically intelligent citizens can understand such 3
Matrices ???
