I'm going to start archiving this list using Hypermail, dating back to 
the beginning of the list.  My apologies to anyone whose mail I lost and 
isn't in the archive.

It's pretty easy to use if your ISP is using one of the common flavors of 
UNIX and you aren't afraid of command-line interfaces.  One command takes 
a mailbox and converts it into an archive.
