How are "strategical nomination" problems and the clone problems
related?

It seems to me that one kind of nomination strategy (in Borda) is to give
your party a boost by nominating lots of (clone) candidates.

Can every clone problem be considered a nomination strategy problem?

Are there other common nomination problems that we should watch out for?
