Other Fundamental Principle

Of course another important fundamental democratic principle is
that if more voters prefer A to B than the other way around, then,
if we choose 1 of those 2, it should be A. 

The Condorcet Criterion says to not violate that principle unnecessarily.
That's what it's saying when it says to elect the alternative that
beats each one of the others, if such exists.

There are several methods proposed here that meet the Condorcet
criterion, but only 2 (plain Condorcet & Smith//Condorcet) that
meet GMC.
